If you have not been to Cinque Terra, Italy, I suggest you put it on your list of places to visit.  The small vineyards are staggered on the hills.  The pesto is a specialty here and is delightful.  You can hike from one village to the next or take the train, but here there are no automobiles allowed on these narrow and limited streets.
